Summary
The Mali Food and Nutritional Security Survey 2020, or ENSAN 2020, examined food insecurity and vulnerability in Mali. The survey aimed to gather data to answer the following questions: Who is food insecure? How many people are food insecure? Where do these people live? Why are they food insecure? What is the nutritional situations for children under five? The survey included a household and community questionnaire.
The household questionnaire consisted of two parts:
- Socioeconomic questions administered to the head of household
- Anthropometry of children (0-59 months) and women of childbearing age; health data for mothers and children including topics such as diseases, vaccinations, diet, hygiene, and breastfeeding
