Summary
The N-SSATS (formerly the Uniform Facility Data Set) is an annual census of all treatment facilities listed on the I-BHS. Information is collected on the location, organization, structure, services, and utilization of substance abuse treatment facilities in the United States. The data are used for program administration and policy analysis. Information from the survey is also used to compile and update the National Directory of Drug and Alcohol Abuse Treatment Programs and the on-line Substance Abuse Treatment Services Locator, two widely used resources for referrals to treatment.
