General Info
This was a large scale, intercensal survey designed to provide accurate statistics on the population inbetween the 2001 and 2011 censuses at a more granular geographic level than existing household surveys. This data was also used in planning the 2011 census. The survey was conducted February 7-28 with non-response follow-up visits occurring March 1-7. The sample was 274,348 dwellings and 238,067 dwellings participated.
A 2% differentially weighted sample of households from the census (1,047,657 individuals) is available through IPUMS International at the University of Minnesota. Dwellings and vacant units are not identified in the microdata sample. Refer to the IPUMS website for guidelines on citing database versions.
