Summary

MOCAGE (Model of Large Scale Atmospheric Chemistry) is the model of Chimie-Transport of Météo-France. It focuses on describing the evolution of the composition of the atmosphere, both for gaseous constituents and aerosols, offering a wide range of possible applications, from the prediction of daily air quality to climate change impact studies, monitoring of volcanic ash clouds. MOCAGE is a model of Chemistry-Transport. This means that the meteorological variables (such as pressure, wind, temperature, etc.) are not calculated but extracted from another meteorological model, such as ARPEGE, AROME, IFS, for quality forecasts. air or ARPEGE-Climat for climate simulations. [From CNRM]
