The purpose of The European Health Interview Survey series is to gather comparable statistical health data from various European Union countries. The second wave (EHIS 2), was conducted in Croatia in 2014-2015. The study and questionnaire were based on the Eurostat guidelines. The survey collected information on population health status, health determinants, and health care use and access. Tobacco use was also investigated using the "Tobacco Questions for Surveys" as a module from the Global Adult Tobacco Survey series.
