Netherlands Virtual Census 2000-2001 - IPUMS
General Info
Censuses provide population numbers, household or family size and composition, and information on sex and age distribution. They often include other demographic, economic and health-related topics as well. There was no dedicated data collection effort for the 2001 Netherlands de jure census. Instead, data were collected from a combination of previously done surveys and register data. Data sources came from the Social Statistical Database and included the population register, the integrated jobs file, the integrated file of benefits, and results from the Labor Force Survey. A differentially weighted sample of 1.19% of the total population (189,725 individuals) is available through IPUMS International at the University of Minnesota. Dwellings, vacant units, households, and group quarters are not available in the sample. Refer to the IPUMS website for guidelines on citing database versions.
