Summary
The tables in this report present age-specific, age-standardized and crude incidence and mortality rates. They also provide incidence and mortality risk rates. Tables are broken down by 5-year age groups and sex. The report also provides information on 5-year survival rates and prevalence. There is a separate section on cancer in children. Statistics are based on the reporting of population-based cancer registries from 15 of the 16 German states (all except Baden-Württemberg). Ten of the states are considered sufficiently complete, with a coverage rate of 90% or higher. Cancers are coded in ICD-10.
Researchers can request more detailed data from the Center for Cancer Registry Data at the Robert Koch Institute.
