Mozambique Annual Epidemiological Bulletin 2009
General Info
This annual report on notifiable diseases in Mozambique comes from the country's epidemiological surveillance system, which falls under the purview of the National Directorate of Public Health. The report shows new cases and deaths from diseases such as cholera, measles, meningitis, malaria, and neonatal tetanus. The system also covers some noncommunicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. The annual report is based on the weekly and monthly bulletins that get summarized into quarterly reports. Figures are generally by region.
This report includes a section on a campaign against lymphatic filariasis and onchocerciasis and the launch of cervical cancer screening and treatment services.
