Mozambique - Maputo Reproductive Choice Survey 1993
General Info
Survey sample consisted of 1,585 women, either married or in an informal union, who had two or more living children and who recently gave birth in one of the six maternity wards in the city or who had brought their babies in for registration. According to the author of the study, for Maputo at the time, the number of women who passed through maternity clinics either during or right after birth approached 100%. The focus of the study was on the use of contraception and the intention to stop bearing children. The results from the study were published in a report titled, "Economic security, informational resources, and women's reproductive choices in urban Mozambique."
