Summary
The Biomarkers Reflecting Inflammation and Nutrition Determinants of Anemia (BRINDA) project researched and assessed the following: factors associated with inflammation; associations between AGP, CRP, and malaria infection with iron and vitamin A biomarkers and approaches to adjust for malaria and inflammation effects; identification of risk factors and their contributions to anemia in children and women of childbearing age. Data were collected and harmonized from 16 household nutrition surveys from 14 countries.
