Summary 

Behavioral surveillance surveys (BSS) are cross-sectional surveys that provide information on the HIV/AIDS-related knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of vulnerable sub-populations.

This survey was the first round of the BSS conducted in the western sectors of the Mahendra highway route of the FHI project area. The study samples consisted of a high-risk sub-group of female sex workers, as well as a small sample of transportation workers.
