Summary 

The Egypt Integrated Household Survey 1997 was carried out by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFRI) in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation and the Ministry of Trade and Supply. In 1999, a sub-sample of the 1997 households were interviewed again. The sub-sample consists of 348 households, and the field work took place during the first six months of 1999. The questionnaire covers topics such as household characteristics, food expenses, farming, and income sources.
