Ecuador Population and Housing Census 1974 - IPUMS
General Info
Censuses provide population numbers, household or family size and composition, and information on sex and age distribution. They often include other demographic, economic and health-related topics as well. The 1974 Ecuador de facto census collected data through face-to-face interviews on housing, household demographics, employment for individuals 12 and older, education, migration, and fertility for women 15 and older. The census day was June 8, 1974. Urban populations were enumerated on this day and rural populations for the the following eight days. A 10% differentially weighted sample of household from the census (648,678 individuals) is available through IPUMS International at the University of Minnesota. Information on dwellings is not available in the sample. Refer to the IPUMS website for guidelines on citing database versions.
