Cambodia General Population Census 1998 - IPUMS
General Info
Censuses provide population numbers, household or family size and composition, and information on sex and age distribution. They often include other demographic, economic and health-related topics as well. The 1998 Cambodia de facto census was the first in the country since 1962. Data was collected through face-to-face interviews on housing, household demographics, employment, education, migration, and fertility for women 15 and older. The census day was March 3, 1998 and field work was carried out March 3-12. A 10% sample of households from the census (1,141,254 individuals) is available through IPUMS International at the University of Minnesota. Refer to the IPUMS website for guidelines on citing database versions.
