Average remission of test-positive (seropositive) syphilis is based on expert-driven assumptions from WHO 2005 and GBD 2000 on the percent of individuals that show symptoms, the proportion that receive treatment if symptomatic, and the disease duration if untreated/treated, which is then interpolated by location-year using HAQi.
