Summary
The 2016 Canada Population and Housing Census took place in May 2016. However, a wildfire caused evacuated in the Alberta region, and data collection in those areas was deferred to August 2016. Data were collected using a short-form and long-form questionnaire. On the long form, a question on religion was removed since it was asked in 2011 and questions about daily living were reduced to one question. The response rate for the long-form questionnaire was 96.9%.
