Summary 

The Nutrition and Child Survival Survey conducted in 2012 examined the nutritional status and survival of children in Niger. The Standardized Monitoring and Assessment of Relief and Transitions (SMART) methodology was used to collect data. Data collected included anthropometric measurements, household characteristics, and presence of bilateral edema. A total of 9,347 children ages 0-59 months from 7,799 households were sampled.
