Summary
The Comoros Household Survey concerned topics such as household and family structure, health, fertility, pre- and post-natal care, occupation, agriculture, costs and expenses, and education. There was a focus on poverty, income inequality, and the labor market of Comoros, in addition to a focus on socio-economic disparities in health access.
The sample size included 2,988 households from 249 enumeration areas, both of urban and rural nature. Due to the low population of Mwali, one island of Comoros, the primary sampling units chosen were non-probabilities proportional to their population. Three questionnaires were involved in the survey on households, community, and prices. Interviews were conducted by 16 work teams, each consisting of four investigators and a controller.
