Guyana Contraceptive Prevalence Survey 1991-1992
General Info
This survey was the first nationally representative survey on contraceptives following the World Fertility Survey of 1974. The survey was administered to women aged 15-44 using a multistage cluster sample based on the 1980 census. Interviews were completed with 1958 respondents. A printed report is available; some libraries may be able to procure this report through the interlibrary loan system.The survey covered contraceptive awareness, contraceptive use and family-planning programs.
The International Planned Parenthood Federation, Western Hemisphere Region published a report on the survey titled Contraceptive Prevalence in Guyana, the tenth in a series titled IPPF/WHR Caribbean Contraceptive Prevalence Surveys. Some libraries may be able to procure this report through the interlibrary loan system.
