Colombia General Census 2005-2006 - IPUMS
General Info
Censuses provide population numbers, household or family size and composition, and information on sex and age distribution. They often include other demographic, economic and health-related topics as well. The 2005-2006 Colombia de jure census collected data through face-to-face interviews on the subjects of housing, household demographics, employment for individuals 5 and older, education for those 3 and older, migration, disability, health care use, and fertility for women 12 and older. Data was collected through an urban questionnaire, a questionnaire of census units divided into sections for dwellings, households, persons, economic units, and agricultural units, and a questionnaire for special housing. Coverage for the total population was 96.3%. A 10% differentially weighted sample of dwellings from the census (4,117,607 individuals) is available through IPUMS International at the University of Minnesota. Refer to the IPUMS website for guidelines on citing database versions.
