Summary
Data on newborns and maternal care are collected annually in the Perinatal Information System of the Republic of Slovenia (PIS RS) by the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ). The data collection follows the calendar year and comes from birth records. Included in the report are other sources of information such as the statistical office of Slovenia and the WHO. For 2010, there was a total of 22,296 births with 22,196 live births and 100 stillbirths.
