The Rapid Assessment of Drinking-Water Quality (RADWQ) is a rapid survey methodology developed by the WHO and UNICEF. Using the RADWQ methodology, Tajikistan completed a pilot survey in 2004-2005. The survey canvassed 1,620 sample sites from 53 clusters. Water supplies were tested with in local laboratories using collected samples. Water analysis included testing for thermotolerant coliforms, pH levels, appearance, conductivity, chlorine levels, fluoride, iron, nitrate, arsenic, and fecal streptococci. All types of water supplies were included in the sample.
