Summary
The purpose of the study was to measure the role violence against women played in terms of economics, psychological, and social effects; perceptions of gender equality; and prevention strategies.
The sample size was 639 women and 590 men ages 18 and older. Separate questionnaires were used for each gender; the women's questionnaire asked about their experiences with gender-based violence, while the men's questionnaire asked about their responsibility for and attitudes toward gender-based violence.
