Summary

The purpose of this survey was to gather information about population groups at high risk for HIV infection, and to compare with the previous survey conducted in 2009. The groups included in this survey were people who inject drugs (PWID), female sex workers (FSW), road transport workers and their assistants (RTW/RTWa), men who have sex with men (MSM), and prisoners. A respondent-driven sampling (RDS) methodology was used and there were a total of 3,501 participants. Data were collected with interviews and blood tests. Estimates were gathered on population size of the target groups in selected locations, and the prevalence of HIV, HBV, HCV, and syphillis within those groups. The questions covered current sexual health knowledge, attitudes, and risk reduction behaviors.
