Zambia Sexual Behavior Survey 2000
General Info
The 2000 Zambia Sexual Behavior Survey (ZSBS) was the second ZSBS conducted, following the 1998 ZSBS. The main objective of the 2000 ZBSB was to obtain national estimates for certain indicators related to HIV and STD prevention, as well as AIDS care and support.
Three questionnaires were used, one for communities, one for households, and one for individuals. Out of a total household sample of 1,851, 1,702 of them were enumerated. Eligible male and female samples were 1,798 and 2,034 respectively. There was a 84.8% response rate for males and a 88.1% response rate for females.
The 2000 ZSBS used the same sample as the 1998 ZBSB. The 1998 ZBSB used the same sampling frame as the 1996 Demographic and Health Survey, which based its sampling frame on the 1990 census.
