India Heart Watch Study 2005-2009
General Info
The India Heart Watch Study 2005-2009 assessed the prevalence of cardiovascular risk factors in middle-class individuals living in urban areas across India. The survey took place within community centers in 15 cities in northern, western, eastern, southern, and central India. Locations with middle-class populations were selected based on municipal classification, land prices, available facilities, and services. The study collected data on topics such as demographic and socioeconomic characteristics, education, health status and history, and lifestyle risk factors.
