The Rapid Assessment of Avoidable Blindness (RAAB) is a rapid survey methodology developed at the International Centre for Eye Health (ICEH). It is a population based survey of visual impairment and eye care services among people aged 50 years and over.

The Bangladesh - Gazipur, Kishoreganj, and Cox's Bazar Districts Rapid Assessment of Avoidable Blindness 2010 covered the districts of Gazipur, Kishoreganj in the division of Dhaka, and Cox's Bazar in the division of Chittagong. Data were collected through household interviews and visual examinations. Subjects with vision-impairing cataract were questioned on barriers keeping them from pursuing cataract surgery, and subjects that had undergone cataract surgery were asked about their operations. 2,418 subjects in Gazpiur, 3,023 subjects in Kishoreganj, and 2,485 subjects in Cox's Bazar were successfully interviewed and examined.
