The Malaysia Dialysis and Transplant Registry collects data regarding patients experiencing end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and undergoing renal replacement therapy, and produce annual reports. It is a multi-center, observational cohort study wherein participation is voluntary. At participating study sites, all new patients and existing patients diagnosed with ESRD and undergoing treatment are eligible to participate and are followed-up with for life. 

As of 2014, there were 34,767 patients on dialysis in Malaysia including 7,055 new patients. The report also details changes in demographics of dialysis patients, treatments in addition to dialysis, and the mortality of patients.
