Summary
The purpose of the Chile National Health Survey was to develop preventative health policies through the data collection of citizens ages 15 and over on their health and subsequent treatment of illness. The sample size included 6,233 individuals with 5,520 of those participating in laboratory tests. In addition to diseases and illnesses, data were collected on alcohol and tobacco use, physical and sexual activity, food consumption, nutrition, oral health, mental health, and child development.
