The Macedonia National Nutrition Survey of 2011 covered the nutritional status of children ages 6-59 months and non-pregnant women ages 15-49 years. The dietary habits of the women and the anthropometric measurements of the children were primary focuses. The sample included the whole country, beginning with 8,404 households selected. After data-cleaning, 3,213 households remained with 3,887 women and 1,350 children. Nearly 2/3 of the households were Macedonian, just under 1/3 were Albanian, and the remaining population consisted of minority groups of Turkish, Roma, and Serbian households. The survey covered a variety of topics such as reproductive history, birth weight, breastfeeding, disease history, dietary diversity, nutritional status, smoking habits, and income. Questionnaires contained modules for households, women, and children.
