This report provides a brief overview on the registration of births and deaths in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. Part one of the report describes the administrative set up of the Civil Registration System (CRS) and part two is comprised of the ‘Statistical Report on the Registration of Births and Deaths in Delhi for the year 2005," and reports birth rates, where births occurred, the number of births by sex, the maternal age at the time of giving birth, the education level of both parents to newly-born children, total number of and causes of death, and the leading causes of infant death.
