Anthropometric measurements and blood tests were also collected.

In 2010, CRELES was expanded to include a Retirement Cohort of participants born between 1945 and 1955. The second wave of CRELES-RC included a sample of about 2,500 participants, and interviews with about 1,150 spouses.
