Summary
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of a 2-dose course of rotavirus in the first year of life when doses are given at 10 and 17 weeks of age. The study also explored the efficacy of oral polio vaccines and the effects of environmental enteropathy on those vaccines.
The data were collected through clinic appointments, bi-weekly monitoring of diarrhea episodes, stool samples, and anthropometry.
The sample size for this survey was 700 infants.
