The Ethiopian Statistics Abstract presents data on the country's various sectors, including agriculture, banking, climate, construction, education, external trade, health, insurance, law and order, manufacturing, mining, population, prices, public finance, entertainment and recreation, and transport and communication.

The health section of this abstract provides data on the number of health facilities per region, the number of health care personnel per region, and the leading causes of morbidity per region. Also included are the number of malaria treated persons, the number of trained village malaria control workers in the country, malaria control measures taken in the country, child health care services provided, delivery-related infant and maternal deaths in government health institutions by region, type of family planning services by region, and number of health facilities providing VCT and PMTCT services.
