This population health survey, also know as Inuit Health in Greenland: A population survey of lifestyle and disease in Greenland and among Inuit living in Denmark, was a follow-up to the 1993-1994 Health Interview Survey. Questionnaire data were collected via face-to-face interviews and self-administered questionnaires from 3,337 ethnic Greenlanders (Inuit) ages 18 and older living in Greenland and Denmark. The questionnaires covered sociodemographic characteristics, smoking and alcohol use, diet and physical activity, and self-reported disease. 2,056 repondents participated in a cardiovascular sub-study. Clinical data collected though interviews, clinical exams, and blood sampling. The clinical exams included blood pressure, urine tests, a fat biopsy, anthropmetric measurements, ECG, a 75g 2-hour oral glucose tolerance test, a skin prick test, a lung function test, an ultrasound examination of the thyroid gland and carotid artery, and a general physical examination.
