Philippines National Nutrition Survey 2013-2014
General Info
This survey was the 8th National Nutrition Survey carried out in the Philippines. The purpose of this survey was to gather data on the eating habits, nutrition, and health of the Filipino people in order to develop indicators. The survey was conducted in rural and urban areas within all 17 regions of the country.
The data were collected through interviews, anthropometric measurements, and blood samples. Measurements of height, weight, body mass index, blood pressure, and waist-to-hip ratio were recorded. Samples of blood were collected in order to assess lipids, blood glucose, and iron.
The sample size for this survey was 45,047 households and 172,323 individuals.
