Yemen - Abyan Nutritional Status and Mortality Survey 2012-2013
General Info
The purpose of this survey was to investigate the levels of nutrition and malnutrition present in children aged 6-59 months. The survey also sought to estimate crude and under-five death rates. To collect this information, this survey adopted the UNICEF Standardized Monitoring and Assessment for Relief and Transition (SMART) methodology.
The data were collected through in-person household interviews and anthropometric measurements taken from children. This survey was performed in districts directly and indirectly affected by conflict. The sample size for this survey was 892 households in directly affected by conflict districts and 960 households indirectly affected by conflict.
