Summary
The purpose of this survey was to investigate food security in Yemen in order to obtain current national and sub-national data, inform the country's development plan, and to provide a baseline to check outcomes.
The survey was carried out urban and rural areas in the country's 22 governates, including recently formed Soqatra.
The data were collected through in-person household interviews. Anthropometric measurements were collected from women and children under the age of 5 years. The main themes covered in the interviews were sociodemographic characteristics, food consumption, household expenditures, living conditions, access to services, and shocks.
The sample size for this survey was 10,500 households.
