Summary
The Oman Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey 1995 round 1 (MICS1) report provides information on Oman's progress toward achieving Mid-Decade Goals (MDGs). Data in the 1995 Oman MICS1 MDG report are primarily based on findings from the 1995 Oman Gulf Family Health Survey (GFHS), and a 1993-1994 Universal Iodization of Salt Survey. Data from the following were used to supplement the analysis: Oman Child Health Survey follow-up study, Health and nutritional status of Omani Families 1991 survey, National Study on the Prevalence of Vitamin A Deficiency 1994, and the Ministry of Health Annual Statistical Report for 1994. Topics covered in the 1995 Oman MICS1 include child and maternal health, immunization, and education.
