Summary 

China's Notifiable Infectious Diseases system, administered by the China Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CCDC), began in the 1950s as a monthly reporting system. It has since expanded to a coordinated infectious disease system reporting in real-time on 39 diseases, with data from various health administrative departments reporting at the township, district, prefectural, provincial, and national levels.
