Summary 

The purpose of this study was to gather information on cardiovascular risk factors present in the population in Pimpale. The first round of this survey was carried out in 1994. The second round, carried out in 1999, took another look at subject from the first round in order to investigate changes and trends in health status.

The data were collected through in-home interviews and exams at health facilities. Blood samples were taken in order to asses lipids and fasting glucose. Measurements of height, weight, and blood pressure were also taken.

This study collected data from 321 individuals aged 40 years and older.
