United Arab Emirates in Figures is a snapshot of statistical information commonly found in a much larger statistical yearbook. Composed of approximately 85 tables and figures, most of the information in the publication is gathered and disseminated by the National Bureau of Statistics from the census and official estimates. It is published in both English and Arabic. Topics covered include demographic characteristics, such as population, fertility, mortality, life expectancy, registered marriages and divorces; economic activity, including indicators on prices, imports to exports ratios, and banking; education indicators, such as school enrollment, students on scholarship, and graduates by degree level; and health coverage, facilities, and personnel.
