Summary
The 2009 Census of Population and Housing in Chad was the second to be conducted in the country. Topics covered in the questionnaire included a variety of housing, demographic and socioeconomic characterstics, as well as the topic of disability. Instabilities in security prevented enumeration from taking place in certain sub-prefectures of the country. The total 2009 population of Chad was estimated at 11,039,873.
