Summary 

For this survey, 33,678 residents from 4,210 households were randomly selected from among the seven administrative zones of Wolaitta zone in Ethiopia. Data collectors administered a questionnaire to the head of the household, and examined individual household residents for signs of podoconiosis; 1,890 participants had overt signs of the disorder.
