These neonatal and child mortality data were extracted from the Swedish Cause of Death Register (Dödsorsaksregistret), which collects annual data on deaths by age, sex, cause, place of death, and municipality of residence. Data are broken down by two geographies: Stockholm County and the rest of Sweden. Upon request, the National Board of Health and Welfare offers data dating back to 1961.
