United States National Comorbidity Survey: Adolescent Supplement 2001-2004
General Info
The United States National Comorbidity Survey: Adolescent Supplement 2001-2004 (NCS-A, 2001-2004) is a nationally representative household survey on the prevalence and correlates of mental health disorders of adolescents ages 13-17 in the United States. The 2001-2004 NCS-A used a dual frame design which included a subsample of respondents from the United States National Comorbidity Survey: Replication 2001-2003 (NCS-R, 2001-2003), and a sample of children enrolled in schools located within the same community as the 2001-2003 NCS-R sample. For the 2001-2004 NCS-A, 10,148 interviews were conducted with the adolescent respondent and one caregiver using computer-assisted personal interview (CAPI), and computer-assisted telephone interview (CATI). The Clinical Reappraisal Interview portion of the survey was conducted with a modified version of the Kiddie Schedule for Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia (K-SADS) schedule
