The World Population Prospects is produced every two years by the Population Division of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations Secretariat.

The 2015 Revision of the World Population Prospects provides demographic estimates and projections for the period 1950-2100. The results are available at different levels of detail, for various kind of aggregations, and in several electronic formats such as Excel tables, figures and maps.

Data sources include censuses, vital registers, surveys, and official estimates from international statistical agencies.
