Summary

The WHO Multi-country Survey Study (MCSS) was carried out in 61 countries from 2000 to 2001. The study was an exercise in developing research instruments for assessing the health of individuals, adult mortality, health system responsiveness, and household health care expenditures. The survey modes, which varied from country to country, included in-person individual interviews, telephone surveys, and mail surveys.

Luxembourg uses the Computer Assisted Telephone Interview (CATI) survey mode, utilizing random digit dialing. The final sample is 719 adults, a 55% response rate.
