Summary 

The Welsh Health Survey (WHS) is designed to collection about the health states of people living in Wales, their use of health services, and factors affecting their health. The survey is based on a representative sample of adults ages 16 and over living in private households in Wales. In addition, up to two children ages 0 to 15 were randomly selected from each household. In 2007, more extensive elements were introduced for children.
