Summary

The Jordan Demographic and Health Survey 2007 is part of phase 5 of the DHS series, a comprehensive, nationally representative household survey.

The survey was administered to 14,564 households and 10,876 ever-married women ages 15-49 living in the households. Those living in remote areas and institutions were excluded from the sample frame. Participating women and their children age 5 and younger underwent anthropomorphic measuring and blood tests to detect anemia.

Questionnaires included questions on fertility, family planning, housing, and demographics, as well as tobacco use, foods eaten by mothers and children in the past 24 hours, and child development.
